Description: Join Enid Wood for an informal 1-Day Demo/Workshop.
Students will paint a landscape on a sanded surface from a photograph. Instruction will focus on color and pastel technique.
Bring a few landscape photographs from which to paint.
Suggested materials to bring to the workshop: 9x12 Sampler pack of Richeson Premium, OR 9x12 Art Spectrum
Colourfix pastel paper, OR a 9x12 pad of Wallis Belgian Mist paper. Pastel pencils. Flat brush 1.5”. Foam-core 12”x16”
and 2 bulldog clips. Soft pastels in an assortment of textures: hard (Nupastel, Cretacolor, Faber-Castell or Holbein);
medium (Art Spectrum, Rembrandt, Girault, or Winsor & Newton); and soft (Sennelier, Unison, Schmincke, or Terry Ludwig).
The gallery has only a few tables available, so please bring your own portable easel if possible. Wear old clothes.
Parking: Convention Center Garage, one block away from the gallery.
Lunch: Bring a brown bag lunch or visit a nearby sandwich shop for take-out.
