in the quiet
place
quiet center...where the self mates with the water
and the butterfly. Thomas Fitzsimmons
Sue Pollins, University of Michigan graduate, uses watermedia
to create images that serve as dialogue with her viewers. Painting
is an activity undertaken to expand her life journey. Formal DESIGN
elements are the building blocks of that PERCEPTION, CONCEPTION,
PRODUCTION process. The PRODUCT or painting is the tangible result
of that ongoing search. A frequent juror and instructor, Sue has
taught in many venues in Southwest Pennsylvania including WATERCOLORS
gallery and TOUCHSTONE CENTER FOR CRAFTS. Her work is found in
many private and corporate collections including the Westmoreland
Museum of American Art and Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art.
Sue is a member of PWS and a past-president, AAP, signature member
of Penna. WS, and a roster artist of Pennsylvania Council on the
Arts-Arts in Education program.
