Watercolors Gallery is raising the awareness of the value of art throughout the community. Our mission is to expand opportunities for participation in art, art education, build creative capital, and advance Pittsburgh as a cultural center: Build Creative Capital - Watercolors empowers people to develop their capacity to succeed as artists. Through our membership program, artists gain a place to exhibit their work, receive access to sources of recognition and promotion of their art career, and network into Pittsburgh’s art community |
Expand Opportunities For Learning And Instruction of the Arts - Watercolors offers art instruction, professional development courses, and provides a venue for developing art instructors. The Gallery serves all segments of Southwestern Pennsylvania and awards scholarships to those in need.
Advance Pittsburgh as a Cultural Center – Watercolors seeks to strengthen Pittsburgh’s status as a cultural center and to support the Cultural District as a major asset to the region.
Through these efforts Watercolors Gallery is contributing to Pittsburgh as a premier place both to live and to work. We are helping to make the region a center of quality learning and educational opportunity, and are participating in making diversity and inclusion defining elements of the region’s character.
